Instruments used:
Mattel Elmo Toy CD Player 2004 - From Goodwill.
Not actually a CD player. Users can play, pause,
skip or stop 8 pre-recorded songs. I opened this
toy up to expose the circuit board. Then I licked
my fingers, touched the circuit board and
created random connections to alter its sound.

Live Feedback, MacBook Pro 2012 - I turn my
laptop’s microphone and speaker on at the same
time to generate feedback. I then use my hands to
physically interrupt this loop and play the
feedback like an instrument. For example, I
physically filter the sound of this feedback loop
by cupping my hand over the speaker. I also use
simple processes in Max/MSP to manipulate the
sound in-between this system. [tracks 2, 4, 5]

Made in Max. Pretty straightforward use of
tapin~/tapout~ objects in Max. Email me and I’ll
send you the patch I used :)
